So, grab your appetite and get ready to explore brunch spots that will turn any ordinary morning into a delightful experience!

1. The Bro’Kin Yolk – Mahogany Plaza

The Bro’Kin Yolk is a cozy spot at Mahogany Plaza, founded in 2015 by two brothers with 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry. With a 4.5-star rating on Google and 4.3 on Yelp, it’s a popular spot—and for good reason. Just be prepared for a wait, as it’s always busy, so reservations are highly recommended.

They serve classic breakfast dishes alongside Filipino-inspired ones, adding a fun twist! Our go-tos are the Farmer’s Breakfast (a traditional western-style breakfast) and the Bro’s Breakfast (a Filipino-inspired option). The waffles are also fantastic.

The prices are reasonable, and the portions make it well worth it. Plus, it’s a family-friendly atmosphere, so you’ll likely see lots of kids around. Currently, they have four locations—three in Calgary and one in Edmonton, with a new spot coming soon to Canmore.

2. Holy Grill – Silverado

Holy Grill is a go-to local spot in Calgary that offers amazing food at a great value! With four locations across the city, the original one is right on 10th Avenue Downtown. It’s no wonder they’ve earned a solid 4.7 stars on Google—people love it for good reason!

When we’re not sure where to grab a bite, Holy Grill is always our answer for a delicious brunch. Our go-to? The Bacon + Avocado Crisp—it’s simply the best! Their paninis are also a must-try, and whatever you do, don’t skip the beet chips. And to top it all off, they serve Fratello Coffee!

The prices at Holy Grill are super reasonable, and the portions? They’re so generous that we sometimes end up taking some home! You definitely get your money’s worth here.

3. diner deluxe – Mahogany

Diner Deluxe is a charming spot in the south that’s perfect for brunch! You’ll often find families and friends gathering there to enjoy a cozy meal together.

One of their standout dishes is the Community Breakfast Bowl, a hearty vegetarian option with a generous portion size. The BBQ Pulled Pork Hash is also a must-try! They also offer a rotating special dish that’s always worth trying! And to top it off, they serve their own “Diner Deluxe” blend coffee, which pairs perfectly with their delicious meals.

4. Starbelly Open Kitchen – Seton

Starbelly is part of the Starbelly Restaurants group, which includes other great spots like The Beltliner, Calavera Cantina, and PinkDoor Pizza. It’s a solid choice, especially for brunch dates or catching up with friends! With a 4.2-star rating on Google, it’s definitely a crowd-pleaser.

They recently revamped their menu, and while they’re great for any meal, we’re focusing on brunch. Their brunch menu is a bit more limited compared to others, but their classic eggs benny never disappoints! They also serve coffee from Calgary’s own Heritage Roasting Co., which we find a little mild, but it still gives you that much-needed caffeine boost.

Portion sizes are decent, and the prices are reasonable. Starbelly is located in Seton, and it’s definitely worth checking out when you’re in the area!

5. morning brunch co. – Shawnessey

Morning Brunch Co. is an easy, convenient spot to get to, especially if you’re using transit. The staff here are incredible—super friendly and always accommodating. The bright, welcoming ambiance just adds to the good vibes!

We really enjoyed the Stampeder Omelette and the Spicy Chorizo Scramble—both were delicious. Plus, they serve Fratello Coffee, which is always a win. Another great thing about Morning Brunch Co. is its location. It’s super close to grocery stores and other shops, making it a perfect stop before or after running errands!
